Our long term client French Village Bakery approached us bursting with passion for a new concept to add to their brand family. A location on the Belmont Road to serve good food with locally sourced ingredients to friends, family and breakfast buddies. We sat down with Ashley French to share his vision for ‘Baker Street’, a play on evolving the bakery products the French Village Bakery are renowned for, moving to a restaurant offering.
With an established brief, challenged by both the client and designer, we extensively researched trends in dining sharing ideas on direction and guiding on brand assets to inform and draw from the interiors. The copper, black and vinette palettes formed the foundation to communicate the elegance and simplicity of products, so that they food can speak for itself. From illustrations of hidden bakery goods for the kids menu, to foil blocking print the brand owns their patch on the Belmont Road. Supported by phase one website and social media campaign we are hungry for the next phase of Baker Street brand evolution.
